How to find a mosque near you on iPhone
Open NearMasjid, allow location, and the mosques around you appear on a map. Switch to List to sort them by distance, tap one for details and today’s prayer times, then tap Directions to open Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. With location off, type a town or UK postcode in the search field instead.
Find the nearest mosque in four steps
- Install NearMasjid from the App Store. It’s free, with no account and no ads.
- Allow location when asked. The Mosques tab opens on a map centred on you.
- Tap List to see the same mosques sorted by distance. The closest is at the top.
- Tap a mosque to see its facilities and today’s prayer times, then Directions to open your maps app.
Searching somewhere else
Planning ahead or visiting family? Type a town, an area or a UK postcode in the search field. The map jumps there and shows its mosques. This also works with location turned off.
Filtering by facilities
Use the filter button to show only mosques with a women’s prayer space or wheelchair access. Facilities show only where they are known; otherwise the mosque says “Not reported” rather than guessing.
On a journey?
A nearby search shows mosques around where you are now. If you’re driving, Plan Route lists every mosque along the whole route in order. See how to find mosques on a road trip.
Browse by city
You can also browse mosques by city on this website, with lists for cities in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Germany and France.
Every mosque near you, on one map

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn’t Apple Maps show every mosque?
Apple Maps only shows places in its own database, and many smaller mosques and musallas are missing. NearMasjid adds a mosque directory and OpenStreetMap data on top of Apple Maps results.
Can I find a mosque without sharing my location?
Yes. In NearMasjid, search for a town, area or UK postcode and the map moves there.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes. It uses OpenStreetMap data in 16 more countries and Apple Maps search everywhere else.
