A mosque is missing or in the wrong place. What do I do?
Open the mosque and tap Report issue. In the UK you can also use Add a mosque on the Mosques tab. We review every submission before it appears.
Why don’t my prayer times match my mosque?
Mosques use different methods. In Prayer settings choose your calculation method and Asr rule, adjust each prayer by up to ±30 minutes, or in London choose the London Unified timetable.
The Qibla compass looks wrong.
Hold your phone flat, away from metal, magnets and electronics, and move it in a figure of eight to recalibrate. You can also use the map view.
How do I add the My Mosque widget?
Open a mosque and set it as My Mosque. Then touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose NearMasjid.
Does NearMasjid cost anything?
No. It is free, with no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Arabic and Urdu. It follows your iPhone’s language.
